The 38th Pacific Islands Forum was held in Tonga from Oct. 16-17, 2007, and was attended by heads of state and government of the Cook Islands, Micronesia, Fiji, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu, and representatives of Australia, Kiribati, Palau, Marshall Islands, and Solomon Islands.
