Fiji's military government is set to lift martial law, which was reimposed last month to control the deposed prime minister, Laisenia Qarase. The Fiji Times reported the Public Emergency Regulations would be lifted on Saturday, citing confirmation from the coup leader and self-appointed prime minister Frank Bainimarama. Martial law
