From LA our ways parted for a week. Megan returned to Christchurch to make ready for my arrival (fluff the pillows, assemble the trumpeteers) while I took a slight detour to Fiji. I didn't know what to expect, bearing in mind the country was in the throws of a political coup and under military administration.
