A senior United States official has been in Fiji this week to explain Washington's position on the military coup. But Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Glyn Davies was denied a meeting with Fiji's Interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.
