THE number of attacks and crimes committed on tourists while holidaying in this country has doubled in the past two years (fijitimes). Increase in crime goes hand in hand with increase in poverty. Poverty level went North (up) when Bainimarama did his coup which resulted in lay off of workers in the tourism sector as tourist change plans to avoid travelling to Fiji.
