SYDNEY - Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd Wednesday warned against the spread of a "coup culture" in the Pacific after Fiji's military leader Voreqe Bainimarama expelled Australian and New Zealand envoys.

SUVA, Fiji, Nov 3 — Fiji coup leader and self-appointed Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama today ordered Australia and New Zealand recall their envoys within 24 hours, accusing them of interference. Bainimarama said he had ordered the expulsions because Australia and New Zealand had interfered with Fiji’s judiciary and tried to hinder his plans to hire judges from Sri Lanka to fill posts.

We have been reliably told that certain international organisations and pro-democracy bodies have slammed Malaysian former PM Tun Mahathir bin Mohamad for warming up to Fiji’s murderous tyrant Frank Bainimarama during his recent visit to Malaysia. Sources report that these organisations have written to Tun blasting him for his insensitivity towards the plight of the Fijian people for a return to a democratic rule.
