Census reveals Indians fleeing Fiji (Stuff)

Ethnic Indians are continuing to flee Fiji and now form only 38 per cent of the Pacific nation's population, new census figures show.

A national census is to be conducted between September 16, 2007 and October 16, 2007, after a lapse of more than 10 years. The exercise will set the platform for a review of Fiji's 71 constituencies ahead of the next general election following the 2006 military coup.
